Kortney & Renzo’s Mison Lago Wedding

Kortney and Renzo’s wedding day was proof that sometimes the best wedding stories are the ones you absolutely did not plan for. The two met while working together as nurses, eventually heading out with mutual coworkers one night and realizing there was definitely something there. A year and a half later, they were planning a wedding with burgundy, dusty rose, navy, and ivory details that brought a modern rustic vibe to the day. But then, about a week and a half before the wedding, their original venue unexpectedly closed—with zero warning. Cue the panic. But also cue an amazing family system and the wedding vendor dream team. Everyone rallied, plans were rebuilt, a new venue was secured, and somehow all of the chaos turned into a day that was every bit as special as Kortney and Renzo deserved. With Kortney bringing her New York roots and Renzo bringing his Peruvian roots, their wedding was already a beautiful coming-together of two lives and two families. Add in the last-minute venue switch, a whole lot of people refusing to let the circumstances win, and a couple who just rolled with it all, and you have a wedding day that proved the most important part was never the venue—it was them.
