Maria & KJ’s Soire Estate Wedding

Maria and KJ’s story is basically a giant collection of “okay, we’re really doing this” moments. They met while KJ was stationed in Ohio, and when the Air Force sent him to Tampa, they decided to take the leap and move across the country together after Maria finished grad school. Fast forward two years and they’ve got a Golden Retriever named Lady, a new city to explore, a deeper faith, a gaming room where they happily play completely different games at the same time, and a shared love of all things Disney. Naturally, KJ also proposed on Maria’s birthday at Disney.

Their wedding at Soirée Estate brought together family from all over the country for the first time, making the day about so much more than pretty details—although, let’s be honest, the blush pink and natural green color palette was very pretty. One of the most meaningful moments came during the ceremony with a memorial chair honoring KJ’s father. It was a quiet but incredibly powerful reminder that even when someone can’t physically be there, they can still have a very real place in the story. And that felt like the heart of the entire day: two people who have already taken some pretty big leaps together, surrounded by the people they love most, finally getting to say, “Yep. This is us. We’re doing this.”
