Nina & Ricardo’s Coastal Creative Wedding
Nina and Ricardo’s wedding day was pure happiness from start to finish — the kind of day where laughter comes easy, emotions run deep, and every moment feels intentional. Held at Coastal Creative (our very first time photographing and filming a wedding there!), their celebration was vibrant, personal, and full of heart.
We first met Nina and Ricardo at THE RECEPTION, a local bridal show at Armature Works in Tampa, and instantly connected. From that first conversation to their wedding day, they brought so much warmth and excitement — and their wedding reflected that same energy.
Their story began back in 2014 at a USF event, where they quite literally ran into each other during a flash mob. Both were members of the board for the same organization, and what started as friendship eventually grew into something more.
Ricardo proposed in Boston, surrounded by the gardens — a romantic, quiet moment that perfectly matched the intentional way they approach life together.
Their day began with a Catholic ceremony, grounding the celebration in faith before transitioning into a reception filled with color, culture, and joy. Nina and Ricardo beautifully blended Filipino and Hispanic traditions, weaving their backgrounds together in a way that felt natural and deeply personal.
Thoughtful DIY projects added another layer of meaning, making the day feel hands-on, heartfelt, and uniquely theirs.
Before the ceremony, Nina and Ricardo shared a first look and private vows, giving themselves space to slow down and be fully present together. These quiet moments are always some of our favorites — raw, emotional, and honest.
With full-day photo and video coverage, we were able to document everything from those intimate beginnings to the high-energy celebration that followed. Coastal Creative turned out to be the perfect backdrop for a day that was equal parts meaningful and fun.
