As a wedding photographer we get asked all the time about “first looks”. Should a couple do one? Is it required or necessary? We get this questions quite a bit now that it is a pretty common occurrence as apposed to when we started back in 2012. There are lots of reasons by a “first look” is recommended and times when it isn’t. But there is no right or wrong answer! We want to break down the pros of each and help you make the best decision for your and your fiancé on your wedding day.

Humor us here for a min. Take a second and Google (or bing, or yahoo) how much of your overall budget should be spent on a wedding photographer. But what really goes into the cost when hiring a wedding photographer? And what factors determine how much you will pay? Some may say that the price of a wedding photographer is a mystery and that just adding the word wedding will allow for photographers to charge $1,000s more just because. That is definitely not the case! We want to be 100% transparent and shed some light on this subject so you can understand why wedding photography costs what it does.

Our first session back in Phase One of opening up Florida!! WOOHOO!!! We are so thrilled to be back and shooting. A few parks are still closed so we chose to walk around our neck of the woods (Seminole Heights) to get some killer portraits of these two cuties! Such a fun session, we are obsessed with Danielle’s bright pink hair! Made a perfect fit with the unique backdrops of our area.

Julie is originally from Tampa and met David while working in the military in California. We thank them both for their service! They have two adorable children together and decided to move back to Tampa and get married at Sunken Gardens in St. Pete. Sunken Gardens is one of our absolute favorite venues in St. Pete because it is full of amazing flowers and trees with limitless spots for portraits. Plus the outdoor reception is truly a Florida dream!

COVID-19 and the world shutting down for several weeks has definitely made a hug impact on our lives and our business. We wanted to join several other photographers and offer portraits session to remember this time and to give back! Thankful for all the families that joined us during this time! And happy to give meals back to our local community.
