Jason + Danyell's Florida Fair Engagement

Leo and I have been dying to do a fair engagement session and when Jason and Danyell heard they jumped at the idea! The day we went, the weather was absolutely perfect! In Florida, we don't get many sweater weather days! We had such a good time walking around, eating Amish Donuts, riding on the ferris wheel, and playing some their favorite fair games. "I Got It" is there annual fair tradition :) They are such an down to earth, fun loving couple and we are so excited about these images. Can't wait for October guys!

Josh + Emily's Sunken Gardens Wedding

These two FSU lovebirds had a garnet and gold inspired Sunken Gardens wedding in St. Petersburg, FL. Being in Florida we know that the weather is very unpredictable and the day unexpectedly started with a storm. But as we rode from the hotel to the venue, the clouds separated and we got a glimpse of the beautiful sun. It's pretty amazing how it happened!

Their day was packed full of personal touches, family heirlooms, happy tears and a TON of laughter! We are just so happy with how these images came out, here are some of our favs!

-Leo and Brittany

Emily's dress was her Grandmother's that she had altered. Such a timeless and beautiful dress!

What do you love most about each other?

Josh: Emily has great compassion for others and she is always trying to think of the most moral or thoughtful thing to do for others.

Emily: No matter what, he is always doing everything in his power to make everyone laugh, especially me. Sometimes I'm like "you have to know you look ridiculous" but he doesn't care is someone is laughing.

Why did you choose your wedding date?

Honest answer? We loved our venue and that was the time they had available! HAHA! It wasn't until we met with our florist 6 months later that we realized it was the Saturday after Valentine's Day. Aren't we romantic?

This was one of our personal favorite moments of the day! When Emily's Grandmother saw her in her dress for the first time. I don't think there was a dry eye in the room.

What was the most memorable part of the day for each of you?

Josh: Would it be too cliche to say when I first saw Emily walking down the aisle? Haha! But seriously when our song started playing for the first time before I walked out I realized this was the real deal... and started crying.

Emily: Oh my gosh it was all completely perfect! If I had to pick one thing though, it was Josh's garter removal. I make fun of him all the time for his dancing because he can't clap to a beat, then to see him doing basically a strip tease off rhythm in front of everyone we know, it was one for the books, Haha!

Their first dance song was "Hold you in my Arms" Ray Lamontagne

Do you have any advice for engaged couples?

Yeah, it was the best advice that someone gave us: no one remembers the tablecloths. Meaning the details are just details. Everyone is there to see you both and don't let the little things ruin the joy of your day.

Andrea's Land O'Lakes Maternity Session

We had the pleasure of shooting little Mia's birthday not too long ago and now we are able to photograph the next step in their lives - baby #2! The Bedon Family is so sweet, we always laugh and have such a good time with them. We took them up to one of our favorite parks up in Land O'Lakes, which doesn't feel a whole lot like Florida and shoot some awesome stuff! Andrea was just stunning!!! And how adorable is this maternity dress she got on Etsy? Mia is 3 now and she was just all smiles the WHOLE TIME! Seriously, is doesn't get much cuter than this guys. Here are some of our favorite images.

Nathan + Christy's Cross Creek Ranch Wedding

Cross Creek Ranch is an awesome outdoor barn venue in Dover, FL. We are so happy to be one of their preferred vendors and get to shoot there often. Nathan and Christy's wedding there was nothing short of amazing. They had a rustic chic vibe with shades of blush, mint, and gold.

What do you love most about each other?

"I love how very patient & genuinely sweet Nathan is"

"I love how caring & incredibly kind Christy is"

Why did you choose your wedding date?

"We chose 2/3 because 3 is Christy's favorite number, we wanted a sequential date, and finally because we were planning an outdoor wedding & February is one of the few months in Florida when the weather is consistently comfortable.  It was a success because it was a gorgeous day!  In terms of the time of day, not only was that the time the venue had available but also it allowed us to take post ceremony portraits during the best time of day for natural lighting."

What was the most memorable part of the wedding day for each of you?

Christy: "The most memorable part of the day for me was just the amount of pure love and joy I had & felt that day from beginning to end.  It was such an emotional experience and it truly was the best day ever to this point in my life."

Nathan:  "Seeing Christy at the end of the aisle because she was breathtaking & I couldn't believe that I was so incredibly lucky to be marrying such an amazing woman."

The songs for the ceremony were all The Beatles! When the Groom & Groomsmen walked down the aisle they played "Something", when the Bridesmaids walked down the aisle they played "Here Comes the Sun", when the Bride walked down the aisle we played "Blackbird", and lastly for our Recessional we played "All You Need is Love".

One of Leo and I's favorite parts was the first high five as husband and wife!

Do you have any advice for couples currently planning a wedding?

"While the experience can be stressful at times whether it's dealing with your family, friends, each other, or vendors keep into perspective why you're planning a wedding and continue to make that your priority.  At the end of the day you have your marriage and your photos/video to help preserve the memories made that day; my advice is to ensure you invest your time, emotions, and money wisely with that in mind."

Paige + Chad's Poor Porker Engagement Session

We met Paige and Chad though their wedding planner Ashley Moody from the wonderful Love Lee Lane and we hit it off immediately! Over beers from our favorite local brewery Coppertail, we chatted about wedding details and how they met and it felt like we were long lost friends. She casually mentioned Poor Porker in Lakeland for their engagement session and I wanted to cheer, we have been DYING to shoot there. If you haven't been yet, its a must! Grab some coffee and a homemade beignet and enjoy the eclectic scenery.

These two were a dream to shoot because its obvious they are madly in love! Plus, how stunning is Paige?!?! We absolutely can not wait for there wedding in November at the new Armature Works. Here are some of our favorite images...
